The on-going pandemic has created a new lifestyle in almost every part of the world, including Indonesia. Today’s daily routines like work and study are being done from home. Shopping routines that most people might usually do it by going to the mall are shifting to online shopping, and cashless payment methods have become a very common thing to do in almost every aspect of our lives. Internet connection has become a primary facility that almost all households must have, because without it, all online activities at home will be impossible to be done. So what are the changes that we can see in our lifestyle during the new normal in the digital era? Here are 5 changes that you need to know!
Stay at Home Has Become a New Lifestyle
This pandemic forces us to apply a healthy lifestyle by staying at home as much as we can. This lifestyle has created a new digital campaign with hashtag #dirumahaja, which successfully went viral through various online media and digital accounts. We can see that people’s outdoor mobility is decreasing drastically and we must always adhere to health and safety protocols like wearing a mask whenever we go.
Home Cooking Becomes a New Habit
Since most activities are now being done at home, cooking our own meals seems to become a new habit. Many people are now relying on natural and herbal ingredients to make daily meals or herbal and traditional drinks. This habit was one of people’s efforts to maintain their health and improve their immune system, especially during the pandemic.
Virtual Optimalization Implementation is Increasing
Work from home and online learning are two activities that depend so much on virtual optimization including meetings, presentations, seminars/workshops, school classes, etc. All those activities can only be done by utilizing video-conference or online classroom applications that we can all find easily online. This virtual optimization is certainly depending so much on a fast and stable WiFi Internet connection.
The Number of Online Profession and Business are Rising
The new normal condition that many people are currently dealing with is in line with the growth of digital, which inspires many people to explore their creativity. We can see this trend by looking at the increasing number of people who open new online businesses or shops to sell food, clothes, or become Influencers, Selebgrams, or YouTubers on social media.
Exercise is a New Trend
To have a healthy body that can stand against viruses, one of the things that we can do is by doing exercise on a routine basis. Today, exercise seems like a mandatory activity for everyone and it makes running, cycling, Yoga or Zumba as a trend that people are doing at home, either individually or in groups out in the sun. But remember, although exercise is good and more fun to be done in groups, we need to adhere to health and safety protocols at all times!

There is one thing different from this new office, which is the lounge area that was designed with modern contemporary concept with warm and intimate ambience. Biznet Lounge was designed by Andra Matin with a simple yet modern sense of style, strongly dominated by two color tones, dark brown and natural wood color, with a little touch of black.

Celebrates the
New Year’s Eve
The New Year’s Eve celebration might be done differently, unlike previous years. Therefore, to accompany you while spending New Year’s Eve at home, Biznet together with Biznet Official football Club, Persik Kediri created a special event to celebrate the special moment, which has been aired Live on Biznet YouTube Channel on 31 December 2020. Online Class
Since May 2020, Biznet has been holding Biznet Goes to School Online Class program, which is an online program to share information and knowledge on various interesting and useful topics. This program is a form of Biznet support for students who carry out learning activities from home or online learning. Biznet Goes to School Online Class activities are carried out using Video Conference application, which is attended by high school or university students in many cities in Indonesia and supported by professional speakers. With this program, we hope that it can have a positive impact to increase the experience and knowledge of the participants.

Cities and Areas in Indonesia
Based on a survey done by APJII for 2019 – 2nd quarter of 2020, the number of Internet users in Indonesia has reached 196,7 million or 73,7% from the total population of 266,91 million, where in average, most people spend at least 8 hours online on a daily basis. This data becomes Biznet’s biggest motivation to continue expanding its network to more cities and areas in Indonesia. With more than 47,500 KM of Fiber Optic throughout more than 110 cities in Indonesia, this year Biznet officially expanded its network to Pontianak (West Kalimantan), Manado (North Sulawesi), Bandar Lampung (Lampung Province), and Medan (North Sumatra).
The survey done by APJII also shows that the penetration contribution of the biggest Internet users in Indonesia, island-based), is dominated by Java with 56,4%. This number also triggered Biznet to focus on Java, in both big and small cities, by officially expanding its coverage to more locations in Surabaya and surrounding areas. Moreover, Biznet has finally answered the increasing demand for fast and stable Internet connection of the people in Bintaro (South Tangerang), by officially expanding its network in the area to support all digital activities. More Technology
Since COVID-19 pandemic occurred earlier this year, almost all activities must be carried out digitally and online using an Internet connection, such as remote working, work from home, or studying online, praying from home, or conducting virtual events. These trends encouraged people to create new technology innovations.
More Automation
Currently, there are more new automations being carried out in various segments and industries. For example, post pandemic, we can see many retail industries had to shut down their businesses and lay off their employees. Therefore, in the near future it is predicted that many companies will rely more on automation and create robots to replace human resources in running company operations.
Less Mobility or Borderless work
By utilizing existing digital facilities, we can now work remotely. Usually we are often required to travel to other cities or countries to support business projects. But now with the help of technology such as cloud-based services, we can access files online, which makes it easier for us to work without having to travel.
