Biznet Reaches More Areas in Palembang City
Internet usage in Indonesia continues to grow from year to year. This is certainly inseparable from the development of digital technology that has changed various activities in Indonesian society, one of which is for the people in Palembang City. Biznet, which has been available in Palembang city since 2014, continues to prove its commitment to building network infrastructure in all areas of Palembang and providing Internet services that can answer the needs of today’s people.
As one of the second largest cities in South Sumatra Province, Palembang City has an increasingly diverse community of digital activity with very rapid growth. With the development of technology that moves very quickly, anything can be done easily and quickly which of course must be connected to the Internet. For Palembang City, Biznet network has reached more than 26,000 Homepasses with a total of more than 50 urban villages and will continue to grow along with the development of Biznet network infrastructure.
Currently, we are also building an underwater fiber optic cable network, called Biznet Nusantara Cable System-1 (BNCS-1). This network will be connected from Anyer (Banten) – Kalianda (Lampung) and Sungsang (South Sumatra) – Muntok (Bangka) along approximately 100 km. The presence of this submarine cable network infrastructure will later provide Internet performance with a much larger bandwidth capacity. This is a form of our commitment to reduce the digital divide in Indonesia and support the improvement of future Internet network capacity, one of which is on the island of Sumatra. Lampung Province
This underwater cable network will later be connected from Anyer to Kalianda, which is Lampung Province. As an area surrounded by sea, Lampung Province is in the southernmost area of Sumatra Island.
